We went to all the March RV sales from Sidney to Parksville. We stopped at all of them. Every place took our info and what we were in the market for, promising to call us as 'our RV was sure to arrive on a trade in'. No one called.

I am a Nurse and run the 'Covid Unit' at the Royal Jubilee. It has been tough, and I lived in our last RV for a month in the driveway. There was a chance I would have to do it all over again plus the week coming was our 29th Anniversary. We wanted to camp.

His knowledge base of the trailers, uses, utilities, availability and maintenance were beyond top notch and also took the time to give basic cost breakdowns (any other dealer I have been too so far has been either a no comment or unsure answer when it came to any of these avenues). His real world attitude and approach has definitely gone over the top when it comes to interacting with any salesmen or saleswomen. Please consider him for any future purchase or inquiries.

Just a comment on the Mill Bay division of Arbutus RV and Marine; I bought a new RV trailer in May, 2019, from them. The price was right and, overall, was happy with the deal. The reason for this review is for what happened since. We went South for a month in January, and had a problem with the forced air system; one of the vents wasn’t working. Talked to the service manager, Colin, on our return and told him I was going to look at it myself. He assured me it was on warranty if I had any problems, which I did; a problem from the factory with the piping. At no time was I given excuses or shuffled aside; it was fixed, and in a timely manner.

This is my second trailer from Arbutus RV, and have no qualms about giving them a 5 star for both sales and service. The real test for any dealership is after the sale; they back what they sell.

Gary, Sean and Anita made the sealing the deal very easy and we left feeling good about our purchase.The service tech who did our walkthrough was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and helped set up our weight distribution/equalizer hitch prior to leaving the walkthrough. It was the excellent care of the service department that encouraged us to look for our new trailer at Arbutus. The only reason I didn't say delivery was perfect is because we are waiting for delivery of a couple of items that were not working when we received our new unit. Ash, Karen and Lana all treated us very well. We will definitely come back. Only thing that would have made it better is if we had won the Archie contest!!!

We have travelled across Canada from Port Alberni to Newfoundland - to Cape Spear (the most easterly spot in North America), in a zig-zag journey for a total distance of 10,206 kms and the Van Amera has not missed a beat! She is comfortable and well appointed. Her only vice is
she is thirsty but otherwise we couldn't be happier.

We are now touring around Newfoundland before heading back across Canada and due back in BC in September.

On Wed. May 23/19 I met service manager Mark Fraser for the first time. I explained the 2 issues regarding my 2014 Winnebago Class B motor home, ( Dometic Refrig. & Onan Gen), thinking I needed an appt. Mark wanted to have a look, so I returned in an hour with the RV & complications where resolved in 15 minutes. Mark said no charge, but some beer money for staff was accepted. Good communication, very open minded & service oriented solved the problem.

The best part of dealing with Arbutus was the honest and transparent process. There were some deficiencies, and we left the island before warranty work could be completed, but every commitment was lived up to 100%. I can highly recommend Motorhome buyers to Arbutus.

After a few years of looking - we finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase a new 5th wheel. Once we found "the one", all members of Mill Bay Arbutus were very friendly and helpful in our purchase. Thank you to all involved.

We had lots of space to look in out and around all of the campers, no salesman following us, which was very nice. When we were done looking the salesman appeared. Very nice place to look for new and used campers.

We've always had great service here, and in fact bought our current travel trailer from Arbutus in 2015 - it was a pleasant transaction all the way thru, no high-pressure tactics. Always friendly and thorough service, and we had a great walk-thru orientation of our RV upon purchase. We're debating the purchase of a new/different travel trailer now that our kids aren't camping with us, and Karen has been very accommodating with regards to our questions and research. Is very reassuring that they go through a full check up of the RV and put in a new battery and, if need be, new tires to make sure your RV is safe, unlike other dealerships. Their fee is also quite reasonable. When we got it, we got a throrough explanation of all the features by a very knowledgeable and patient service rep. We appreciated the time he took to go through all and teach us how to attach it. All the staff was kind and helpful. We are hoping to be able to keep dealing with them in the near future. I live 10 minutes from a dealership which had the same make and model unit. They lost the sale because they were not willing to work like your team did. Arbutus was pleasant, accommodating, not pushy, no greasy tactics, willing to communicate outside of hours to help make the deal line up. We did talk to Jen (Nanaimo Arbutus RV) the day we were picking up the unit while we were getting some final adjustments and repairs made, we found the service to be very good and your parts man is very knowledgeable, kudos to the young tech on the sat we picked it up for his professionalism and patience getting our hitch set up and moving the battery boxes to enable the sway bars to attach properly and then replacing a faulty door lock, when it was obvious he had a couple of other customers breathing down his neck to get things done. Good Job.

I was happy with the service I received all around from Arbutus, Al/Anita/Sean at the PA office were all great & very accommodating & patient & helped me get my trailer home when my vehicle died right before going to get the next day, Al picked me up & drove me from Nanaimo to Port Alberni to get my trailer & one of the drivers drove it down for me with me as well...the service guys were great as well. Overall my buying experience was great!

If you are looking at trading or newly purchasing an rv look here (Arbutus RV) first. From the manager, the sales person we dealt with was Larry Epp (Courtenay Location)...more to follow, financing, parts and service people the way we were treated was absolutely amazing! Big smile and two thumbs up go in here!! Larry was most paitient with us and as we were looking at a motorized coach we spent some time out on the road so we could test drive some different units to ensure we would get everything we wanted for our money.... We also walked back and forth between a few floor plans before deciding on which model would be perfect for us. After deciding and bringing in our trade we were made to feel most important by both Larry and Caleb. It was hard to wait for pick up day of our unit but it was mostly due to our being busy until the day we could all be available. Paul did our walk through and he expertly showed us about all our unit was capable of and made sure any problems were taken care of right away. Financing and insurance were also a breeze. It was so nice to deal with people that treat you like a family member that really care about your questions and concerns and not like the open wallet that we had been treated like by our pervious seller at another Comox V RV dealership. These guys are so knowledgeable and but will also tell you they are unsure and get back to you with a answer in a timely fashion. If I am ever in need of another unit I will deffinately come here again!!

I bought my first RV from Arbutus (in Courtenay). Only had it 1 year but the service was very good when I had a problem with it. So I went back for that reason.

The finance manager Xen is one of the nicest people I have ever dealt with, she was so amazing and thorough with the details, allowing me to fully understand everything. She also looked after me by choosing a great plan from Coach-Net. Wendy from insurance was also a total pleasure to deal with, with everything being handled easily by her. Overall, the experience I had with Arbutus was one of the best I have ever had when dealing with any major purchase, businesses far and wide can learn from that staff. I think the leadership being provided by Jennifer is the key!

It was a great experience. Everyone I spoke to (at Arbutus RV Nanaimo) made me feel welcome, and at ease.

We came in looking for something quickly as we had a son in Victoria hospital with a brain injury. It looked like he could be there for an extended period so we decided an RV would suit the situation. Peter was very helpful. He listened to our situation and guided us through a decision process that gave us what we needed. The unit had just arrived so the full staff was put on the job of getting the inspections and testing and cleaning all done quickly so we could take possession. They had it done in a day and a half. Everyone was very courteous and compassionate, it was an amazing experiance. Thanks to your team and thanks to the owners for creating an environment that supports this type of service.

Larry is absolutely amazing. Hes out on the lot trying to find you the perfect trailer with whatever budget you have. Just a quick email to say thank you to both your teams in Port Alberni. My family and I have a Canadream on hire and we had a problem with the water heater on Saturday.

One little phone call to Canadream later and we dropped into Port Alberni on our way to Tofino. Canadream sent us to your Beaver Creek Road yard who then directed us back to your other yard (Service).

Much appreciated the assistance getting my rv round the tight yard. Especially your clean up guy who helped and laughed at my greenness behind the wheel!

Thomas was easy and great to deal with. Low pressure which was really nice for us. Didn't mind me asking a bunch of questions. Didn't try to upsell us once we had decided that we wanted to buy. There were a few issues after delivery and the service dept was great ... Vanessa in finance was terrific and I would recommend anyone to go see her.

Sean Hebdon and his manager Jen, his financial manager Xen, and receptionist Karen were standout and so professional and accommodating. Purchased an amazing Grand Design Solitude 375res, from Arbutus RV in Nanaimo. Superb service from our salesperson Michael Boyd, and all the staff.
