Payroll & HR Specialist - Mill Bay, BC

Arbutus RV & Marine Sales Ltd. is searching for an experienced individual to join our team as Payroll & Human Resources Specialist. The ideal candidate will have extensive payroll experience in a company with 100+ employees with a variety of pay plans. Having above average attention to detail, you also excel in time management and have the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. You have exceptional communication skills and present information with meticulous attention to detail; both verbally and in writing. You are accustomed to handling confidential information and pride yourself on your integrity. Stronger consideration will be given to those candidates with automotive experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Preparation of semi-monthly payroll for commissioned salespeople, salaried and hourly staff as well as managers on complex bonus structures
    • Maintenance of permanent payroll files and preparation of related statutory submissions
    • Preparation of Records of Employment
    • WCB administration
    • Posting of job opportunities on select employment websites
    • Group insurance administration
    • Maintenance of employee lists and contact info
    • Vacation and leave tracking

Skills/Qualifications Required:

    • Certificate in Payroll Administration
    • 5 years minimum payroll processing experience
    • Mastery of Microsoft Office a plus
    • Strong self-management
    • Organizational skills
    • Superior customer service and interpersonal skills
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
